Ubix sits above the stack, and across the boundary.
Your ERP, CRM, and other software systems run the work inside the business. What they cannot do well is carry transactions out to a varying set of counterparties, and bring it back completed. That gap is what Ubix closes.
How Ubix relates to the tools you already run.
If you want to understand where this sits alongside what you already know, here are some short answers:
Is this an AI copilot?
An AI copilot makes an individual faster at a task. It is primarily for personal productivity or employee productivity. Ubix provides automations workflows that are focussed on an entire business process that spans across two or more organisations.
Is this robotic process automation (RPA)?
RPA runs the workaround within a single organisation. Ubix carries the transaction across the boundary. Our founder patented the underlying UI integration technique in 2006, before the market named it RPA and applied it to a different layer.
Why can't we just use EDI or API?
Sure! If your business processes can be automated by Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), by all means use them. The reality in this world is that there are only a few use-cases of cross-enterprise workflows that can be handled easily and economically using APIs. A vast majority of cases are out of scope of EDI and API due to technical and economical reasons. Ubix addresses those cases.
Is this a workflow tool?
Workflow tools operate to the edge of one organisation. The unit of work for Ubix is the complete cross-organisation transaction.
Is this a portal?
It is an end-to-end automation platform that provides portal user interface to enable designated humans to interact with the system.
Does the system act on its own?
Artificial intelligence operates within governed execution. A person is accountable for the outcome, and the decision is recorded.
Does adoption require replacing existing systems?
No. Ubix sits above the stack and reaches the systems behind the document in their present state.
Where does Ubix not apply?
Within a single organisation. Where a workflow never crosses an organisational boundary, established tools address it well.
Existing systems record information. Ubix completes work between organisations, in the manner in which both parties already operate.
Built for work that has to be accounted for.
Isolated tenancy
Each organisation holds a private space. Data remains under the control of the organisation that owns it.
No installed footprint
Cloud-native. No software or hardware is installed on client premises, and no changes are made to client systems.
Encryption
In transit and at rest. ISO 27001 certified.
Traceability
Every action is captured. Records are non-repudiable and fully auditable.
Enterprise single sign-on
For provisioning and authentication. Access is scoped, time-bound and revocable.
Data residency
Provided where a jurisdiction requires it.
Adoption begins with a single workflow.
Before
Every transaction is carried between the parties by hand.
Skilled people spend their day gathering and re-keying information.
Neither side can see where a request has reached.
The result depends on who happens to handle it.
A surge in volume becomes overtime or a backlog.
With Ubix
Every transaction completes across the boundary, under governance.
Skilled people spend their day deciding, not gathering.
Both sides see where a request has reached, in real time.
The result is consistent, whoever handles it.
A surge in volume is absorbed without adding headcount.
Configured rather than custom-built. Weeks rather than years.
01
Assess one workflow
We look at a single live workflow. There is no commitment, and no integration work to see it.
02
Configure
The transaction is configured on the existing platform. Client systems stay as they are.
03
Go live
It runs under governance, with a person in the loop wherever judgment is required. The next one is faster.
Proven configurations become products. TaxPilot, Actura and LendPilot each originated in this way.
